JUNETEENTH
Over the Juneteenth weekend we sponsored over 50 performances across the United States. See some of our favorite highlights below.
Vocalist Vanessa Ford and Avery Sharpe performing on Bass at the Springfield Symphony Juneteenth Concert ‘Celebrating Freedom’ taking place at Springfield Symphony Hall in Massachusetts on June 19th.
Broadway Celebrates Juneteenth: The third annual outdoor concert, presented via The Broadway League’s Black to Broadway initiative, was free and open to the public. More than 25 Black artists performed from a dozen Broadway shows, including cast members from A Beautiful Noise, & Juliet, Camelot, Chicago, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, MJ, New York, New York, Parade, Shucked, SIX, Some Like It Hot, Sweeney Todd, and the upcoming Broadway revival of The Wiz.
JAZZ APPRECIATION MONTH
The 2023 jazz campaign was, by far, the most successful in MPTF history with over 750 performances fully funded in the month of April throughout the U.S. and Canada. Learn about all our National Programs here: https://musicpf.org/national-programs/
