“Students receive scholarships” Utica Observer Dispatch, Utica, NY
Two local students recently received $500 scholarships from the Music Performance Fund through the efforts of Local 51, American Federation of Musicians. They are:
Matthew F. Russo, New Hartford, a senior at New Hartford High School, plays trombone, violin, viola and baritone horn. He plans to attend Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio, where he will major in music education.
Jeremy Weiselberg, Clinton, a senior at Clinton Senior High School, plays clarinet. He plans to attend the School of Music at the State University of New York at Fredonia, where he will major in music education.
